Humans are like dust on the seashore, like grains in dirty sacks.
One of the most recognizable things in life is the most basic fact that we are small. But we humans forget about it. We are too busy to think about it and too arrogant to even admit it.
The issue of creating a young and scrupulous government body by recruiting younger generations of politicians is stupid. It only marks the doom of the meritocratic basis in the selection of representatives. Furthermore, the ‘older’ representatives would suffer stigmatization and would probably retaliate by creating a barricade to entrance around their political parties : the gate through which the young can begin to voice out their aspirations. The treatment of these young newcomers by their seniors is another thing.
If the move is meant to build a cleaner government, the issue of education should be the top priority and the age-related thing should be one of the least important. We should invest in education, be it improving our formal education system or by raising the society’s political awareness so that people can vote with much consideration. We should ask ourselves this: can we rely on our youths when our education system is deteriorating?
Creating a clean ruling system is not easy, and not quick at all. It requires thorough revamp on our mindset, moral and capabilities. We need time.
This age-related thing? It is just a desperate attempt to quench our thirst for change.
Love is overrated. It is just about amphetamines and pheromones, which makes it addictive. They overtake our faculties whenever we fall in love and i guess it is inevitable. But these hormones die down after some time.
Of course, it is worth taking note of. We cannot rely on these diminutive biological device to maintain a relationship. Nor can we make false promises under their effects. So i guess we should go for oxytocin and vasopressin instead.
But i dont care. haha.
Here i am, unable to contain my thoughts.
Here are some problems we are facing(the list is ENDLESS):
a corrupt government, dysfunctional government institutions, lack (you can say absence) of transparency and accountability, poverty and disease epidemic, rising commodity prices, a violent society, social discontent, problematic democratic system, extremely poisonous media and the pop culture, little educational advancement(don’t mention breakthrough), illiteracy, moral degradation, legalised gay and homosexual communities(this is an islamic state MAN!masyaAllah), inevitable and seemingly continual barrage of natural catastrophy, identity theft by a lovable neighbour, global warming, undeterred killing spree by several maniacs, well-received performance by bitch-turned-singers, distracted youth, widespread pornography,,,,,,,,,
Sigh.
That was a list of problems with no single panacea. I can only list it here coz putting it into someone’s agenda would mean a lifetime of hardwork.
but i do not dismiss that possibility. Anyone?
